You might be used to new WhatsApp updates every few days but now WhatsApp is working on something new. The Whatsapp DarkMode feature is not yet confirmed but very much in the pipeline according to some sources.
The Facebook-owned company is trying hard to make its app more user-friendly and convenient. And this new update also solidifies the fact that team Whatsapp is trying hard to keep its user loyalty. These new features and updates every month make the most widely used texting and data sharing app convenient.
Whatsapp DarkMode on the Horizon
With a dark mode or a black model, the app would consume less battery power on phones with OLED screens. OLED displays are able to turn off individual pixels in order to show blacks, giving us a deeper black than LCD screens and saving power in the process.
But if the messaging platform opts for a dark mode (i.e. displaying a dark but not black color), we won’t see any real battery-saving benefit on OLED phones. Currently, users can only change the wallpaper background for their chats that exists as the only minimal means of customization.
Moreover, Facebook has also announced the launch of the feature for its Messenger app. However, the company has not revealed any release date yet. Launching a Dark theme is a good decision as many other social media platforms have launched dark theme modes.
