Did you know that android users can now quickly Delete the last 15 minutes of history on Google search? Google is now rolling out the option to remove the last 15 minutes of a user’s search history to its official Android app.
The feature was first spotted by former XDA Developers editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman, who said he was tipped about the feature update.
To check and see if you have it, open Google’s Android app, tap your profile picture and look for the “Delete last 15 min” option.
How to quickly Delete the last 15 minutes of history on Google Search?
This feature has taken some time to make its way to the Android app. Google first announced the feature at Google I/O in May, and it came to Google’s iOS app in July.
Google said it would arrive on the Android version of the app later in 2021, but for some reason, the company missed that deadline.
The company announced, “We’re currently rolling this feature out on the Google app for Android and expect it to be available to everyone using the app in the next few weeks.” Google spokesperson Ned Adriance said in a statement to The Verge. “We’re continuing to explore ways to bring this helpful feature to other surfaces.”
To take advantage of this new tool, simply open the Google app on your Android device and tap on your profile. In the pop-up menu, you should see a “Delete last 15 minutes” option located under “Search history.” Tap that and the Google app will delete the last 15 minutes of your search history from within the app.
