Did you know that with Google Play Points, downloading apps and playing games could save you money and earn rewards for all your time spent? If you haven’t heard about this reward system or if you heard about this the first time. Then you should know that it’s a rewards program by Google for Android phone users.
It’s a free-to-join program that launched in 2019, and program members can earn points for money spent in the Google Play Store. Members can then use their accumulated points to get discount coupons, in-app items, or Play credit.
How can I register for Google Play Points?
Google Play Points are divided into four tiers – bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Once you reach a new tier, you’ll be locked into it for a full year. Google says if you reach the Gold level, for example, between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2022, you’ll stay at that level until Dec. 31, 2023.
First, you’ll need to sign up for the program. You can do so with an Android device or on a computer.
Play Points mobile sign up:
1. Tap the Google Play app.
2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select Play Points.
4. Choose Join for Free.
Once done with the joining you’ll need to add a payment method if you don’t already have one set up. Users earn points on their purchases with the play Store. Including in-app items, movies, books, and more, and by trying featured free apps and games.
All the points that you earn can be used as redeeming points for special in-app items offered by developers. Or for Google Play Credit to rent the latest movie or buy a best-selling audiobook.
