Google Assistant Go App might be google’s answer to other assistant apps such as Siri on IOS. Google announced the Android Go initiative which is a less intensive version of the OS optimized for cheap phones with little RAM and small processing power.
The Go assistant app from Google was launched in December 2017 and to go with it we’ve seen a number of Google apps get the Go initiative to make them smaller and more efficient. This go initiative is focused on phones with lower data processing capabilities and smaller RAMS.
Apps like Google Maps Go, YouTube Go, Google Go, and Gboard Go. All of these apps are designed to get the best performance out of the low-cost devices that are typically consumed in emerging markets of Africa and South Asia.
Reasons to Download The Google Assistant Go App
Google Assistant Go offers a similar experience with a much smaller footprint. Compared with the full Assistant app, there are certain things the Google Assistant Go App can’t do. You will still be able to ask the Assistant questions, navigate Maps, and control various functions on your phone with your voice.
There’s no access to Actions in Assistant Go, but you also can’t use the keyboard to type your command as you can in its full version. Even though the app’s description states that only English is supported, the settings do allow you to change the language.
But after changing the language to Arabic and checking it pop out an error message stating that not compatible. There might be a possibility of it supporting more languages in the future so be on the lookout and for now, download and check it out.
