Sharing videos on the popular chat app becomes fun because users can now Choose video quality before sharing on Whatsapp. The company has been giving its users new features at rapid speed to keep them hooked and loyal to the chat app.
WhatsApp users at present don’t have the option to decide on the quality of videos they want before sharing. According to The update report, the feature will be available for users in a future update. This new feature has been currently released as part of WhatsApp Android Beta version 2.21.14.6.
Choose video quality before sharing on Whatsapp
When this feature hits the mainstream, users will be able to choose the video upload quality by picking one of 3 options. Such as Auto (recommended), Best Quality, and data saver. The ‘Auto (recommended)’ option would detect the best compression algorithm for specific videos.
And the ‘Best quality’ would be to force WhatsApp to send videos in their highest available resolution. The ‘Data saver’ option would be specifically for people who don’t have a high bandwidth network and are fine to share videos in their compressed form.
Users who choose the ‘Best quality option may need to wait for a longer time for the videos to reach their contacts on WhatsApp. Mainly depending on the network speed, they have and the hardware they are using. However, it would enhance the resolution to provide a better viewing experience.
WhatsApp may provide the reported feature under its Storage and data settings. It is also important to note that the feature is currently under development. So you will have to wait for it unless you have enrolled yourself in the Beta testing mode for the app.
Let’s see how users respond to this latest addition. But surely it is one of the features that has been missing from the Whatsapp list. Do comment below and let us know how you feel about it.
