Need a bigger screen to view your phone’s content? You can easily Cast your Android phone screen to your TV and view everything from a large point of view. This way you can stream a movie, make a video call or play your favorite mobile game on a large screen.
Casting your mobile screen to a large screen can have a lot of benefits especially when you want to show your photos to a large group of people. But you’ll need the proper hardware to get the job done if you want to show everyone photos from your last trip.
How to Cast your Android phone screen to your TV
Casting your phone can be a pretty straightforward process. You’ll need an Android phone or tablet running Android 5.0 or any of the latest android versions. Phone running android 11 and above will have the best chances of connecting instantly. Once the android phone problem has been sorted we can move.
Now you will need a Google Chromecast streaming device or a smart display like the Google Nest Hub. Many modern android TVs already have a Chromecast built-in so check that aswell before buying a separate Chromecast device.
Now Open the Home app and select the Chromecast device you want to use. At the bottom of the screen will be a button labeled Cast my Screen; tap it. You’ll have to accept the prompt reminding you that whatever is on your phone’s screen will be visible on your TV.
You may also see a second prompt warning you if your device isn’t optimized for mirroring. To stop casting your screen, tap on the button labeled Stop mirroring in the Home app.
Screen Cast Method no 2
The second method uses the Casting shortcut in the quick settings panel. Access the quick settings panel by swiping down from the top of your Android phone or tablet’s display. There should be an option labeled Screencast. You can search it in your phone’s settings if not there.
Once you find the Screencast button, select it and then pick the device you want to mirror your display on from the list. It can take a few seconds for your phone to connect to the Chromecast-enabled device, but once it does, your screen will show up on your TV.
Word of advice before you cast your mobile screen. Whenever you’re mirroring your screen, anything and everything that shows up on your phone’s display will also show up on the TV. Any alerts, and notifications, along with their contents, will be broadcast for all to see. So make sure that you take care of that before casting.
