What Is Lockdown Mode on Android Phones?
Once enabled this mode makes your phone safer by disabling biometric authentication. This means your phone won’t recognize your fingerprint, face, or other physical traits to unlock it. The only way to access your phone would be through a passcode or password. It is similar to the lockdown mode on iOS devices.
But do keep in mind that The feature can only be used once each time you enable it. After you’ve unlocked your phone from lockdown mode, you need to manually enable it once more if you want to use it again.

Activating Lockdown mode
The way to activate lockdown mode on your Android phone differs depending on what device you’re using. On some phones like Pixels, it’s available by default; on others, you need to enable the feature first.
Just head over to Settings > Lock Screen > Secure Lock Settings and input your device PIN to get to the secure lock settings. Then toggle on the Show Lockdown option to add a Lockdown button to your power menu.
