There is a new Google’s darker dark mode for apps especially the Google Search app on Android smartphones. The new dark mode could be more attractive for devices with OLED displays looking to save battery life, or who just prefer to use dark mode more, the report said.
After Google confirmed that it was testing dark mode on desktops last year, the company confirmed a wide rollout of dark mode for Google Search in February for its desktop users. This darker mode could be a blessing for users to tend to use their phones deep into the night and want to avoid eye strain.
Google’s darker dark mode for apps
The report on the darker mode was published by Android Police and according to the report. The new shade is available in Google’s latest 13.8 beta. And users can access the app’s new color shade on their own. A proper release could take months to get to more people officially.
Dark Mode provides a brighter text color, which may not be to everyone’s taste. In that situation, we hope Google, which is owned by Alphabet, considers providing alternatives such as bright mode. Along with a basic Dark Mode, and improved Dark Mode.
In September 2021, Google Search added dark mode support via a server-side upgrade. Brave, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and Mozilla Firefox are among the browsers that support the feature.
The experimental dark theme also changes the color of links from the existing design to a deeper blue. Because the test appears to be random, it’s unknown which locations get access to Search’s pitch-black dark mode.
